The next thing we did after Lovrenica Bay was drive to Bol and hike to the top of the mountain Vidova Gora. From the top you have a nice view on Zlatni Rat beach. If you're not into hiking you can also drive to the top of the Vidova Gora. The start of the hike to Vidova Gora It's a hike of about 4 hours (we spent about 3 hours going up, because it was very warm, and 1 hour to go down). The trail is well marked, and it's the same way down as you go up. In the morning we took the ferry from Split to Supetar on the island Brač. From Supetar we drove for 30 minutes to Lovrecina Bay. We parked our car on the side of the main road, where the narrow road down to the beach started. View of Lovrecina Bay from the road down to the beach We arrived there early in the morning, so it was very calm. We stopped in the supermarket to buy some food and had breakfast on the beach. One of the nice things of Lovrecina Bay is that, except for the first meters, it's a sandy beach, so almost no rocks to walk on. Today our holidays in Croatia started. Both of us were really looking forward to travel to Croatia. We heard from many people it's a very beautiful country. Two of my colleagues went there this year, and both were very positive about their travels. We flew from Brussels to Zagreb and rented a car to drive around the country. After the flight we drove from Zagreb to Split, which is around 4 hours of driving. Below you can find more details of our planned trip.
